Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Black Letter is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors. We believe intentional experiences should be accessible experiences.

We are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of our website so that all individuals — regardless of ability — can navigate, understand, and interact with our content with confidence and dignity.

Our Commitment to Web Accessibility

We aim to:

  • Design with clarity and simplicity

  • Maintain readable typography and strong contrast

  • Ensure keyboard navigability where possible

  • Use descriptive alt text for meaningful images

  • Structure content with clear headings and logical flow

We strive to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards wherever reasonably achievable.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and have made reasonable efforts to ensure accessibility across our content and functionality. This site has been structured to work with assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation. As part of this effort, we have implemented clear heading structures, alternative text for meaningful images, accessible color contrast, reduced motion where applicable, and logical navigation flow. While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the site may depend on third-party platforms, and we continue to monitor and improve accessibility as part of our ongoing commitment.

Processes, procedures and tools used to ensure accessibility include:

  • Black Letter LLC has used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

Certain areas of our website rely on third-party service providers for secure payment processing. Black Letter uses Stripe to process all online payments. The accessibility of checkout and payment pages may depend on content and systems that are owned and maintained by Stripe and not directly controlled by Black Letter.

The following pages may include Stripe-hosted or embedded content:

  • Checkout page

  • Payment processing forms

  • Customer billing portal

Because these components are managed by Stripe, we declare partial compliance with accessibility standards for these specific areas. Stripe maintains its own accessibility practices and documentation, which can be reviewed directly through Stripe’s website.

If you experience difficulty completing a payment due to accessibility barriers, please contact us at blackletterlit@gmail.com, and we will assist you in completing your purchase.

Accessibility arrangements at Black Letter LLC

Our office and fulfillment workspace are designed with accessibility in mind. The owner operates from a wheelchair, and accessibility is integrated into the physical environment from entry to service areas. Accessible parking is available near the entrance, with step-free access from the parking area to the building. Entryways are wide and threshold-free to allow smooth wheelchair navigation. Interior pathways maintain clear turning radius and accessible circulation throughout the workspace. Workstations and service areas are arranged at accessible heights. Restroom facilities, where applicable, are wheelchair-accessible and include appropriate grab bars and clearance space. The space is designed to accommodate mobility devices comfortably and safely. We continuously evaluate our physical environment to ensure it remains inclusive and functional for individuals with mobility needs.
